Mahindra XUV700 Summary
Mahindra recently announced the name of its upcoming three-row SUV as XUV700. Taking the reins from the ageing XUV500, the new mid-size SUV will feature a completely new exterior design along with a revamped cabin and added features.
The next-gen Mahindra XUV700 will be based on the retuned monocoque platform making it longer and wider than the current model. Visually, the XUV700 is likely to retain the signature cheetah-inspired vertically aligned six-slat front grille. The headlamps are likely to be LED units, with an integrated C-shaped DRL design. On the inside will be a new design for the alloy wheels along with flush-fitting door handles.
Based on the several sightings of the prototype model, it is speculated to come with an electronic parking brake, new leather-wrapped flat bottom steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver-side seat, a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone dashboard and a wide dual-screen layout housing the instrument cluster and the infotainment system.
The XUV700 is to be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. A six-speed manual unit could be a standard affair while an automatic unit and an AWD system are likely to be offered as options.
